Artists
We pay for art. It’s not a ton, but we’re not rich. Too many people, and especially businesses, feel like it’s acceptable to ask artists to work for free. Exposure doesn’t hurt, but you can’t eat it. I had a really funny misunderstanding about that when I took my exposure to the bank to deposit it in my account.
Authors
I’ve always believed art is work, that’s why we pay the people who contribute for their stories. Without some means of earning, it’s a lot harder for someone to create all the fantastic fiction that’s enriched our culture. Let’s pay real people to keep producing.
